Hey-ho look at us-- we surpassed our Week 26 milemarker!!!
!Un-B-lievable!
Got our 26 week scan-- of our lil linebackers-- and we could not be happier!
Twin I is measuring 28 weeks (2 1/2 lbs) and Twin II is measuring 29 1/2 weeks (3 lbs)! Seriously what are they feeding them over there?!? Duane's children for sure. (Fortunately no sign of GD, but it will continue to be retested, and only "mildly excessive liquor"-- as you know, I would not be one to pass judgment on the latter-- everything in moderation babies!)
So for the past six months, every time we've received a scan, I've sworn that the next scan, I promise I will allow myself to get excited. Well, guess what?
This is it! I AM EXCITED! I mean REALLY, REALLY, REALLY EXCITED!
And to add to the excitement I've started making real live bona fide baby preparations! As if these babies are really going to be coming! As if I AM REALLY GOING TO BE A MOM!
AS IF IT IS FINALLY "SAFE" TO WRITE IN ALL CAPS AND PUNCTUATE IN EXCLAMATION POINTS!!! LOOK AT ME-- FEARLESS MOM TO BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I asked Dr. S for her best estimate of when we should arrive in Delhi. She suggested arrival in Delhi May 4/5 with a possible due date of May 9.
Which means that I will likely be spending my very first Mother's Day... in Delhi. With Babies. As a Mom. Let the tears commence....
well girl, the tears have commenced for me. better do all your shopping now. am more than half way through and i look at my baby stuff and cant stop crying. called my dad yesterday when one of the boxes arrived and was just crying down the phone!! its so surreal!i have even bought my formula and i hope the baby likes it because i like it.cant stop buying stuff but hubby says they will soon be outgrown and its so hard not to buy.see you in Delhi!!!!that means i will be arriving like a week after you.so excited bout everything.i hope you have started looking at accomodation

I sm crying here resding you blog, i am so hsppy for you. I will be in Dehli at that time starting my process. I leave hamerica on May 5th and dont leave Dehli till May 10. then my journey will start for read and hopefully 9 months later i will be there like you are. I am excited now but i understand you with the caps i cant wait until I get that feeling. I got everyone at work wanting to through me a baby shower already and I tell them no not until November when its like month 6 or 7. Well good luck keep up all your good news.

I know it's so hard to let yourself get excited about becoming a parent. We all get it. I'm glad you're able to get there. Just wait...the excitement will become more intense as the weeks go by until you can't stand it anymore. It's wondeful.

ReplyDeleteSoooo excited for you!! I bet it seems like time is standing still right now but you will be holding your little ones sooner than you know it. Take this time to enjoy your sleep! Pretty soon you will be in Dehli picking up your babies and then you won't sleep for the next 18 years but you will love every minute of those sleepless nights spent watching your kids dream. Good luck! Hope to be in your shoes this time next year!!

ReplyDeleteMy $0.02 worth regarding the due date. Dr. S told me to be there on or about Jan 27 with a Feb. 15 due date. I think that was a giant hint, because I booked our flight for Jan. 30 thinking "No way will she come that early" Well, she was born Jan 27 via C-Section. I guess what i'm saying is, if Dr. S says May 4/5, i'd shoot for May 3. We'll always kick ourselves for not being there on time!
