I've spent 4 years thinking I will never have children.
I've spent 3 weeks thinking I might actually have children.
I've spent 2 days thinking I am going to have children.
I spent 1 minute making my first baby purchase.
Diapers.
Note that there was no rhyme or reason to this purchase. It was simply a just-get--it-over-with-and-prove-to-yourself-that-the-world-will-not-come-to-an-end-so-you-can-get-on-with-buying-the-fun-stuff purchase.
And seeing as I am never one to pass up a good deal... I bought 700.

I understand you. You are goig to have twins soon. I hope you chose different sizes though - they grow so incredibly fast... But as you know from my blog, I bought 400 something diapers for one baby to come :)
ReplyDeleteWowzers! That definitely was a first purchase. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI recently made my first purchase too, also of diapers, but it was only a couple of cloth diapers and I'm not sure if we'll even use them or go the disposable route. (Thankfully they are brand new, but from a 2nd hand store.)
Love it!!! I bought something yesterday for our baby room and I felt like it was a big step forward :-) Congrats on the big diaper purchase!!

Too funny~ I go through on average about 20-25 per day now with 3 babies so you go through them very quickly!
ReplyDeleteVery nice post! lol
ReplyDeleteThanks and have a great day!
This makes me SOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are finally willing to buy baby stuff and start getting excited! 700 diapers will hardly last you any time at all (2-3 months?). J was only in newborn size for about a month, though, so I hope you bought different sizes.
ReplyDeleteOMG 700 nappies, well done Bernadette so sensible and practical, now some fun shopping.
