No News is Good News, Right?

Apparently I didn't make it clear to local family that this Monday was our first No-News Monday.

Around 8:00 last night I got a text from my little sister (to be read in an ever so slightly impatient voice):

Sister: "India news? I don't like waiting for the blog..."

Me: "Sorry, this is our first No-News Monday."

Sister: "Boo. Ok. No news is good news. I read that on your friend's blog."

Indeed she did! Seems to be the Indian surrogacy mantra.

Seriously, I think we should all get t-shirts made. On the front: No news is good news. On the back: I survived surrogacy in India.

Anyways, if it's even possible, I think I checked my email MORE times than I have on past Mondays (because at least on days that I am scheduled to get news, I am able to let the checking subside once I get the news), but regardless I AM NOT COMPLAINING.

Seriously, if you told me that in order to hold these babies in my arms I'd have to stand on my head, hold my breath, and listen to SportsCenter continuously for the next eight months, you know what? I WOULD DO IT. In fact,

I WOULD DO ANYTHING IN THE WORLD FOR THESE BABIES!

Of course, looking back on all that we have done to get to This Point, I think that sort of goes without saying;)

And for those of you who ARE keeping track, our next scheduled scan is Monday...

  1. I really do love your posts. And yes, you have done a lot already...so you deserve these babies! I used to kinda roll my eyes when people would say babies are miracles but I am thoroughly convinced they are...and now for you they are miracles on Mondays! Ok, that was lame. Can't wait til the next update...

  2. Over th next few months, the "no news is good news" mantra actually will get easier. Make sure to find out the exact date of your next updates. I have nearly broken gmail with the number of times I have checked my email when we were told "next update in three weeks" and then three weeks on the dot there was no update...just to find out the scan was scheduled for three weeks and two days because dr. Jolly was booked.

  3. Yes those no news days were hard to wait through... I constantly checked my emails when we were getting near to scan time.. even the day before just in case it was done early! The time will fly ... but does seem to drag when you wait for that next scan. Will be watching ....

  4. Yes , I agree. I email to find the exact date for any scans etc so I'm not freaking out or trying to work out if 'next scan due in a month' means 30 days, 31 days, 4 wks, the same date of the next month..well you get the point :) ps: saying that always allow 24 hrs before checking in.
